Please note: if your checkout discount isn't set to end at the same moment, right down to the hour, anyone who already has the link could still buy at that price after the deal has disappeared from your event page. So if you want a firm cut-off, set your checkout to expire at the same time too.
But you are just sending people to your event page and the event page takes care of the rest.
